Megan Johnson, Intermountain Spanish Fork Hospital President.

Intermountain Health leader, Megan Johnson, has been named president of Intermountain Spanish Fork Hospital, and will start January 15, 2024.

Johnson was the first nurse administrator at the hospital, which opened in 2021. Before that she served in several roles at Intermountain Orem Community Hospital, including nurse administrator and emergency department manager.

Johnson has been with Intermountain Health since 2005, serving in various roles at four Intermountain Utah County hospitals.

“I am excited Megan has been selected to lead Spanish Fork Hospital as the new hospital president. She has been here from the beginning and has a great understanding of Spanish Fork Hospital,” said Mike Clark, Intermountain Health, Canyon Region, South Market president.  “Megan has demonstrated excellent leadership in her role as the hospital’s director of nursing. As she transitions to her new role, I look forward to seeing her expand her influence and impact as Spanish Fork Hospital continues to grow and serve the community.”

As a leading community hospital, caregivers at Spanish Fork Hospital are trained to handle any medical need, but their main areas of focus include women’s health and medical/surgical services. As part of Intermountain Health, Spanish Fork Hospital provides a convenient place to access an entire system of specialists when needed.

Johnson replaces Francis Gibson, who served as president of Spanish Fork Hospital since it opened in 2021. Gibson is leaving to lead the Utah Hospital Association.

“I want to recognize Francis and his significant contribution to the development and growth of Spanish Fork Hospital,” said Clark. “Francis will be missed and I have appreciated his leadership and congratulate him on his new role as CEO of the Utah Hospital Association.”
